St. Paul’s Penumbra Theatre, one of our most influential Black Theatre companies, is being recognized for their decades-long fight for greater representation of African American life on America’s stages. This being the Company’s 40th Anniversary Season it’s contribution as a place where art and race converges onstage is being celebrated with “Penumbra at 40,” an exhibit at the Minnesota History Center opening February 18 running through July 30, 2017, at 345 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul, MN 55102.
